Our Wicked Hot Pepper Jelly is made, jarred, and labeled in small batches out of our family kitchen in Wayne, Maine. I use fresh, simple, and locally grown ingredients in most of my pepper jelly varieties. When I cannot buy locally grown fruits or vegetables, such as for my Mango and Apricot pepper jelly, I buy from my trusted local grocery chain. Though local farmers supply me with the bulk of my peppers. In some of my seasonal varieties I use vegetables bought from local farmers' markets and in the Winter a local family co-op delivers a fresh box of in-season vegetables to my home that I use. When the harvest is ripe my peppers will come straight out of my own backyard garden to be made into my pepper jelly.
One year ago, from the encouragement of my children, Lance and Avonlea, I started started selling my homemade pepper jellies at local farmers' markets. Making pepper jelly was passed down through my family many years ago and for years I have been making pepper jelly only for my family and friends. With lots of encouragement and support from family and friends, they pushed me to open up this business. Thank you everyone!
I understand that $12 for a jar of pepper jelly is expensive but I think it is a great value. When you buy my jellies you are not only getting a delicious product, but peace of mind that our jelly was made in a clean, state certified country kitchen, from fruits and vegetables harvested at their peak stage of ripeness, many of which come from local farmers.
If you live locally in Maine, visit us at a farmers' markets or special events.
Thank you for supporting my new business!
